ITALIAN RESTAURANT
Reviews
Cafe Angelino is not a scene. You don't have to dress. You don't have to valet the car. You don't have to make reservations-in fact you can stroll by, tether the dog, have a latte and maybe a slice of chocolate walnut pie and read most of the paper...[more]

Recently, my wife and I discovered another delightful eatery: Cafe Angelino, a small Italian restaurant on West Third Street where Pearl's Chinese restaurant used to be. Cafe Angelino opened its doors in May. Owners Antonio Riccardi and his wife, Gail, have created a restaurant everyone can enjoy. Cafe Angelino's prices are inexpensive, and the food is mouth-watering. Its atmosphere is warm and casual, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. If that is not enough, try its take-home cooking and catering. If you don't feel like dressing up but want light, delicious, inexpensive Italian food, try Cafe Angelino.

I've been going to Angelino for at least five years now, and it's as good as the first time I went there. The attention you get is personal and attentive and the food truly tastes homemade. I feel as if I have an Italian grandmother who's cooking for me. The pizzas are very thin crust, just like in Italy, which happens to be my favorite. It is delicious. The spinach ravioli is also fabulous. Everything I've ever tried is great. Get the arugula salad to start, but ask them to put shaved Parmesan on it. It's my favorite salad in the world. The place is tucked away on 3rd Street, you may have never noticed it, but stop in. You'll thank me.
